Sometimes I get really interesting and fun jobs, I can remember the day photographing Harry Redknapp for a tv commercial, what a character! Photographing The Queen at Oriel College or Bill Clinton at Helen House and photographing portraits for Williams F1. Added to that list can be a shoot for The Sun and The Mail photographing at Kevin Hutton Racing. Kevin is a hugely successful greyhound racer, his kennels boasts last year’s Derby winner Dorotas Wildcat and his walls are decorated with many winners medals, certificates and rosettes.
This shoot was for articles in The Sun and The Mail and the articles were about Kevin, his work, the kennels and the rather inappropriately knicknamed Cat (Dorotas Wildcat). Cat is being entered for this year’s Derby, maybe one to watch.
I had a brief that seemed to me to be to photograph everything so I did and here are a small number of those that made the cut and I liked.
I am not particularly a dog person but I was charmed by these greyhounds, such sweet natured dogs, friendly and calm.
